Let me begin by saying that some of my favorite people are incredible and respectable women who earn their income through multilevel marketing opportunities. I love and respect you, and this message is NOT directed at you.

Since January, our lives have been quite challenging, as many of you who have followed our story know. My husband and I made the decision to be open about our struggles for several reasons. The primary reason is that we had already announced our twin pregnancy before we received the diagnosis about the potential health complications that could arise. Once we understood the challenges ahead, we felt it was important to ask for your prayers as we stepped into faith and fought for both of our babies to come into this world.

Shortly after the twins were born, Callie passed away. During our time in the NICU, we realized how much we needed support from our community. Many people wanted to help us, and honestly, we were grateful for that help. We continue to share our journey, receive your prayers, and patiently wait for the Lord to turn our trials into a meaningful testimony.

With complete faith, we have chosen to share our story because it is ultimately God’s story, and we are simply living it. One day, we hope to compile a testimony that will impact others in a positive way. I firmly believe that God works all things together for our good, and I eagerly anticipate witnessing the beauty that He will create from the ashes of our experience.

Now, to the point of this blog post. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed that people I don’t know, who I haven’t spoken to in years, and who aren’t part of my immediate community have been paying attention to the number of likes and comments I receive on our updates. I know this because I’ve had several individuals reach out, trying to recruit me into their multi-level marketing (MLM) downline.

It is appalling that some would attempt to use the tragic death of my daughter to promote their products! The community that has rallied around me will not be swayed into believing that purchasing an MLM product will somehow benefit our family. I refuse to tarnish the testimony that God has for me by engaging with those who have poor intentions. I am truly baffled that someone would see my post receiving good engagement and try to profit from that content.

I don’t believe that the individuals sending these messages are bad people. I think they are misguided and unable to read the room. I genuinely believe they may think they are offering me help in some way. However, based on my research and income disclosure statements from various multi-level marketing companies, I have strong doubts about that. Fortunately, God has blessed us by allowing us to save our finances throughout the year, and both my husband and I remain gainfully employed.
